Does leather have not bad smell?
Many people always smell leather goods for example leather handbags, purses, belts, to spot whether is leather. They believe good leather have not bad smell.Artificial leather included PU, PVC has heavy smell.
Now it's not correct. There are many new manufacturing technology for leather. Some good PU material has little smell.I had seen some replica handbags that has not smell. It likes real leather very much.
On the other hand, good leather has some smell. First leather manufacturing meets some chemicals which have smell. Secondly leather always need maintenance, the maintenance water have some smell. Finally there are some parts that is not leather. Maybe parts have some smell too.
Now you know, I can't only smell leather to spot it.
